Our Little Guy Turned TWO!
The time has come and it got here super fast! Our little guy turned two. It seems like yesterday I was with his mom in the delivery room during and after her C-section. He was in the NIC-U for a few days after being born due to having fluid in his lungs, which I found out later was normal for some newborns. My wife and I are so excited for his birthday party. We always have his party with his cousin DJ who was born 3 weeks ahead of Carter. The party was at Bounce-u in Fishers, Indiana. It was so awesome, and fun! We had over 30 kids and a host of family and friends to come celebrate with Carter and DJ. It’s a huge bounce house with 3 different rooms of activities. Each room has a private party with 30 minutes to play before you move to the next room. It gives everyone a chance to be a kid again. After playtime was over we moved to the cafeteria section where pizza, fruit and juice was served. Everyone had a great time and the boys enjoyed themselves.
The next weekend our family took a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo. I mean EVERYONE went. We were like 10 deep. We even had Grandma Laura’s cute self out there walking around. We did the typical zoo stuff, and I was determined we didn’t have a Harambe part 2 incident. I was watching the kids like a hawk. The kids enjoyed the zoo, but for me the highlight was the train ride and watching the boys roar at the lions. We ended the day eating at Pappaduex as a family. The rest of the family went back home to Indy that evening, but the fun wasn’t over for the Morgan’s! We stayed overnight because the next day we were going to Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Water park. I was not too thrilled about it due to the price point, but my wife convinced me it would be a great family getaway and Carter loves the water.
When I tell you we had the most AMAZING time, I am not exaggerating. The place is HUGE, and the rooms are spacious and very relaxing. We pretty much got on every slide and water ride we could get on. Carter was so happy, and to be honest that is really all that matters in the grand scheme of things. You literally will spend all day at the water park as there are so many things to do. There is a bar, plenty of pizza, games, food, and so many activities for the kids. It was well worth every penny I paid. I was able to spend quality time with my family, and you really need that as much as possible. My son was happy, my wife was happy so you know what that means, I was happy. I am so thankful that we could experience that together.
